first of all bro...530>GS, you can make a 530 look sick with just a few mods, and personally i wouldn't drop a german car for a japanese, even though the new GS is a pretty well built car. I wouldn't even consider a audi IMO and if your getting rid of your car i'm guessing you wouldnt want a E500. but check those 530's out with ther aero kits...just like a M5 and its only like $1700(thats what the website says) but i think its worth the upgrade. and as far as the RR Sport goes, i've seen those cars go cheaper with the lease specials, if you want PM me ill check with some dealer i know that gives sick prices and ill pm you back with a quote...let me know

LorinserCClass,

Have you considered MB at all?

I know the 5 may be more sporty than an E, but I just saw a ton a of MB commericals last night on the History Channel (yes, it was a Friday night spent w/ the history channel ).

They said a new E 350 for $527 (or something like that) a month. Not sure what the $ down, but I thought that sounded like a GREAT deal. I remember when the E was new, the pitch was "own an E for less than $20 a day" ($599 per month lease).

The savings over the 5, (2400 per year), will def. add up and may help w/ some of your mods in the future.

I was looking at a 60k 530i for 36 mtns @ 715+tx 4k down so your price definetly seems good I think the z4 money factor is less than .00240
That seems like a pretty good deal for a 60k car. But now you're saying you got a SUV? . I'm guessing BMW X5.... put me down for $5 on that .

LOL! With a statement like that, I'd say you've seen folks eating at an Old Country Buffet here in Jersey... or perhaps (though not a buffet) eating at Fudruckers (now there's some FAT people!)

I'm down on that bet too. I like the X5; it drives much more like a car than any other SUV I've driven, even the crossovers like my grandfather's Murano.

why not an X3? I think if it's a bimmer and an SUV it should be an X3!

Well I'm pretty sure Lorinser was looking for something in the 5-series size so it would most likely be a X5 if it is a BMW suv. I hope he tells us soon, I don't like being teased... unless it's bby some hot chic

wouldn't the X5 be MUCH larger than a 530i?

Before we whip this dead horse anymore, the logical move would be the

It would be larger but at the sametime I would think that a X3 would be smaller.

Actually you're not the only one. Except I knew there wasn't a Rolls Royce Sport. They only have the Phantom and the Phantom Convertible (aka 100 EX). They're going to have a coupe soon too.

I honestly wouldn't get the X5. They're about to redo it soon, besides, it's already outdated anyways. X3 is even worse, that car is just terrible. It's not even built by a BMW factory, it's contracted to a factory in Belgium if I'm not mistaken.

The M45 is a good choice. However, the Infiniti service leaves something to be desired. Lexus, they treat you much better.

However, with the GS, the GS's rear seats are uncomfortable (very straight up) and the ceiling is low. Plus the trunk is tiny.

I know that I'd be happy with a 530i, I'd even consider the E350. The new E350 (2007) with the Direct Control package (upgraded steering and suspension) is going to be top notch in terms of steering feel. It'll be nice and firm yet fully responsive and communicative.

I recommend the 530i and the E350. Also, if you are a younger drive like me, the E350's insurance premiums will be much lower (the difference is so substantial that it'll cover the maintenance that the BMW includes).

Personally, I'd be happier with the 530i or the E350. The M45 is a great car, no doubt, but it's controversial, it's going to depreciate like a rock (you seem to get in and out of your cars pretty quick), and I'd actually take the M35 over the M45 because for the extra 1 liter, you only get 55 more hp.
