Comand DVD on a 2003 car...

I'm ready to buy a comand 2.0 cd for my 2003 coupe, but now I'm questining me how hard/expensive is to install a comand DVD in my car

I know Sunman did it and its possible, and I know also that the new comand DVD its MOST based and considering comand cd and comand dvd prices there is no big diference here... so, beside the AC unit and the upper row switches what cables do I need to change, any one knows???

It needs alot of dealer programing or what?

Sunman help here please

I can't imagine it being that hard depending on what you expect. Obviously you'll have to change the panels and switches around the radio to make it physically fit. You don't really need MOST fiber connction as long as you don't have anything on your DB2 loop now like a CD changer or phone. Even if you have a CD changer, sell it and get a MOST CD changer.

...erm...don't you drive a sportscoupe?

If you want to be able to control the comand from the steering wheels and want to see the nav info in your IC you will have to start by swapping your dash out for a sedan one so that you can install a W209 instrument cluster.

In order to get it perfect, you will have to change a lot of parts. The problem you will run into is when you change one part, such as the a/c controls, that may not communicate with the overhead control panel. then you change the overhead control panel and it won't communicate with the rain sensor. Then you change the rain sensor and you have to get a new windsheild to make it fit. Then you change the instrument panel to make it work with the comand and you have to change the dash to make the panel fit on a coupe. Then the buttons on the steering wheel don't work anymore so you have to change the steering wheel to a new 2005 model. Then the steering wheel still doesnt work so you have to change the electronics in the steering column. I think you can get the idea.....

Looooolooolllll, Ok, now I know... The only thing I wasn't expecting was the IC, and that its a pain in the &$##"

I will buy another car, a facelift one, maybe, looollollll

PS: I received today our new MB car, a used one but... another coupe for my brother and with some options I had to install on mine like BIX, UHI... its a 3/2004 pre-facelift C220CDI with allready the new 2.º generation comon-rail and with 45000km and with 2 year MB Europe warranty... ohhhh and its a limited edition "Indianapolis" with some interiors diferences I have to put also on my coupe
