Out Of Control!!
WTF is with all of the idiots not redlining? 
Say it with me: MB's engineering dept knows more about my engine than I do. Not redlining it is a waste of the car's potential - might as well trade it in for a Corolla.
I add about 1 1/2 - 2 qts between changes. Cars burn oil. Beats burning the internals. Deal with it.
Your car is within spec, I wouldn't worry about it.

It is! Of course the wife drives the W203 all the time and works like 2 miles from the house. Gets worse than my W201 and I drive it everyday back and forth and back and forth to work and home. I go home for lunch!
Mine gets 20 and the W203 gets like 22. I blow it out on weekends!
