WTF is with all of the idiots not redlining? Say it with me: MB's engineering dept knows more about my engine than I do. Not redlining it is a waste of the car's potential - might as well trade it in for a Corolla.

I add about 1 1/2 - 2 qts between changes. Cars burn oil. Beats burning the internals. Deal with it. Your car is within spec, I wouldn't worry about it.

It sucks, obviously. If I wanted good mileage, I would have bought something else. Life's too short.

We own a Mercedes! I have no problems paying for gas when I drive the car the way it was intended to be driven! Or the way I want to drive it. Either way gas prices are not effecting my driving habits what so ever.

It is! Of course the wife drives the W203 all the time and works like 2 miles from the house. Gets worse than my W201 and I drive it everyday back and forth and back and forth to work and home. I go home for lunch!

Mine gets 20 and the W203 gets like 22. I blow it out on weekends!

Oil use

C280, 135,000 miles, never add oil. Change every 5K miles. Car is perfect.
