Should the C230K be MB choice for aftermarket?

Haven't you all noticed the surge in racing lately? Aftermarket parts on Japanese cars all over the place?

I seem to think that the coupe should be loaded with AMG options. If you stayed under the price of a CLK 55 or S500, couldn't you be getting the same performance?

Bottom line: a MB way of doing what Honda, Nissan, and Toyota are doing. Even Lexus, Ford, Chevrolet's are loaded with way more aftermarket than the C230K.: confused:

I would hate to see MB's totally riced out like a Honda. That does nothing but drive the value of the car down. I would rather see people stick to mods on cheaper Honda's and Acura's. I will throw up if I ever see a C230 with a Alum whale tail. I love it though when I see some kids moms old honda lowered down to the ground with bulky front and rear facias half torn off because the speed bump was too high at the McDonnalds drive through.

i agree, leave the whale tails for track cars- you guys hear me TRACK CARS, like cars only drivin on a TRACK, when a spoiler like that actually comes to some use, not propped up on some hyundai or something looking rediculous LOL so sick of seeing that. the next time i see a car parked like that im gonna rip the @#$#% thing off hahaha

I think he meant PERFORMANCE options, not COSMETIC. Why does everyone jump when they mention Honda in the same sentence as MB!

Civics have a number of intake/engine/suspension/drivetrain/exhaust mods that can make huge HP outta small engines, wihout adding the aluminum wing that gives 50 HP!

I've never seen an aluminum wing as an AMG option, so I don't understand why you guys jumped on that right away.

Surge in racing... you mean street racing?

Most MB's in stock form can blow the doors off most Civics without resorting to the street scene rocket racer look. What's the point?

This topic has been discussed a billion times...

We have German cars. They can go fast, but its not as cheap as a civic can. I would much rather have a $30K c230 than a $20K civic with $10K of performance parts on it. tell your buddies in their accords you want to race 10 miles at 130mph. Then see who has the better car.
