Which pulley m111

Okay okay, sorry i bring this up again but before you all go all ninjitsu on me and take my head off, hear me out!

I have seached this forum for a VERY long time, and lots of other forums, to find out what pulley i should buy for my car. I found out that it is VERY VERY HARD TO FIGURE!

I want a easy to install high performance pulley

Everyone says something diffrent! - So my quistions is;

1) Which pulley is BEST/GOOD for the m111 if you want more power, and WHY should i pick that pulley?
2) Is it easy to install ?
3) Does the pulley affect anything in a negative why? Or can the car take it?

Thanks a lot guys!

Well I wont go into details much since I don't want to repeat what I've read before making my decision.

I use ASP, choice was for price
Installed myself
No negative effects that I have had to date. quite a few months now...

I started a new thread because I hoped that someone would back up why i should buy the pulley that they suggest...

Instead i get a BIPSHEET answer from you that I and everybody else can't do **** with. So instead of your senseless twaddle, you could come with a suggestion and back in up with some good info, or you could go pick noise for all I care…

Have a good day!

And how much HP did you gain from the ASP pulley - say about 20+whp? That was the pretty standard gain on the U.S. models. Excellent choice (not that there were/are many choices left out there).

I can't tell you which brand to get, that's personal but all the ones that are available are basically a factory pulley/damper with the larger plane machined smooth, and then a ring is pressed/welded to make it larger. There's a limit to how large you can make it before the belt interferes with the waterpump pulley so most are that size. The Brabus pulley is about half way between stock and what the other's offer so you get about half the gain. Installation instructions on my website, use at your own risk. This is the gain with the pulley I had and aftermarket filter (I can't mention that brand but someone mentioned it above) -

Any penalty at the pumps ? I've heard some people say they used to get an average of about 500km range on a full tank and after the pulley upgrade , they now average about 440-460km

Not so much penalty for pulley only, but if you change fuel delivery to 2 stage,
and take s/c muffler out and aftermarket air filter around 380km on full tank. You will see 7.8sec to 6.2sec 0-60 times.

I have never seen a decrease when I'm staying under 3k RPM.

In fact I can get about 31 miles to the gallon at 2,500 RPM. Thats when I'm cruising with my litte Pitter Pop in the car. (my daughter).

Does it matter if you have Manual or auto gear when you want to change the pulley? If yes, then how and why?

No, It won't negatively effect anything. However, with a manual, you can keep yourself in the range of the best pulley power.

I myself have an automatic.

Since you are in Europe, you may want to contact Kleeman and see if they can sell you a M111 pulley kit. With their kit you get a alternator pulley to increase the revs of your alternator, so you have full electrical power.

Honestly, the questions you ask are redundant. No problem in asking, but your answers are in previous posts. TRUST me. You could also call the manufacturers direct and get it straight from them.

Their is NO downside to the pulley upgrade. Just insure you get a pulley that is one piece. No two piece units.
