C320 service cost

I hope I'm not the bearer of bad news, but the 60k mile service is around $1500, enjoy. The 100k mile is $2000. These are the prices at Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Fremont. If you need a discount or a referral, PM me.
When you go to the dealership, check the car and everything, I'd be afraid if the dealer "forgot" to do some things on this very large check up. Check it before it goes in for service and check it when it comes out.
The things to check are things such as radiator fluid, record the level and then put a marker on the cap to make sure that they actually purged the fluid and refilled it properly. A convenient marker is a tiny strip of black tape placed on the cap and on the reservoir tank. This is difficult to see and if it's broken, you can at least tell that the dealership checked your fluid (they're supposed to drain it and refill it). Do this for all fluids you can see in the engine bay (such as brake fluid).
Also, remind them to change the transmission oil, although the brochure may say that the transmission oil is a "lifetime/100k mile filling" they're supposed to replace it at the 60k service.
I've heard of some independent shops conveniently forgetting some aspects to the 60k mile service.
Regarding the spark plugs, if you drive a lot of city or are idling a lot, then you might want to consider getting the spark plugs changed while you're at it. This will probably make this service cost $2000 ($400 more) but it will increase the performance of the car. Otherwise, the spark plugs are recommended to be changed at 78k miles for the M271 engines (according to my service booklet, the brochure says 100k miles). And the dealership will change them out at the $2000 100k mile service.
Good luck.
