H&R springs cut?

Has anyone cut their H&R springs for the front and the rear without replacing shocks? How's the ride? How much did you cut? Im on the verge of installing springs but I would like to know from all your experiences on how much to cut so it will be flush on the fender. thnx for ur help

A friend of mine cut his H&R springs on his E and the stock shocks died a week later! I wouldnt recommend you to do it.

I cut one in the front and 2 in the back.
I would recommend 1 all around. The shocks are fine and so is the ride. Obviously a little rough but not bad at all.

What size wheel are going to put?
I cut 2 at the back and heat the front spring when I got 18".
The cutting of spring is OK, but not heating... it damage the spring. now I get 19" with H&R spring without cutting it, it look very nice.....
The ride is still acceptable the most important is the handling feeling.

This is the pic with 18"
cut 2 coils at the back and heat the front spring.

My friend cut his front h& r springs and its been about 9 months and he has no problem so far. Make sure that the place where u get them cut knows what they are doing. I heard theres a certain way you should cut them.

Make sure they are cut with a grinder. If you heat the springs it changes the spring rate but if they are cut with a grinder they'll be fine.

thnx for the input guys. Hopefully, I'll be getting 18's for my coupe. I would like 19's but they cost an arm and a leg....
