A little misguided..but hey..at least you made an attempt to search... :p

The threads you need to search are the Classifieds...I know for sure there is at least one pair for sale on the first page.....and post a WTB in that section for some leads...also pretty sure Ebay has some sets if you want to go that route...

WaveyKat 02-23-2005 06:31 PM

thanks but ebay foglights sucks i actually need just the right side thank anyways

CitronC230K_03 02-23-2005 06:52 PM

Unless, new to me, Ebay has now licensed their own brand of fog lights...the ones I'm referring to are used OEM foglights sold by private sellers...

This is the best way to go if your only looking for just one and cheap...unless you don't care about the price then of course go to the dealership...

WaveyKat 02-23-2005 07:13 PM

well actually one night i was speeding :zoom: home and cone (u know the orange things the cops use)appear in the road .. it was flat but the bottom of the cone was sticking up and it hit my right foglight and the arm where the screw goes broke :wall: :wwf:

WaveyKat 02-23-2005 07:15 PM

nah i was thinking that someone would have one laying somewhere
ebay sell aftermarket ones and u won't be able to adjust the lens in side the assembly

CitronC230K_03 02-23-2005 07:21 PM

do you want the clear style which came with BiX or the foggy type? ask Saprissa, he took his foggy type off his coupe when he installed the AMG bumpers. i think he still has them.

WaveyKat 02-23-2005 07:27 PM

it doesn't matter which one i get (clear or frosted) i have clear lens i can always change it u think so the ones that comes off the coupe can fit on the sedan without any problems?

Ebay sells everything from ghosts to snowman poop @ Christmas...so believe me ...they have OEM C-class Mercedes foglights for sale from time to time since may owners like to ungrade their c-class foglights..I've seen and myself, sold a set of stock ones about 2 months back..

I believe the coupe/sedan foglights are interchangeable but double check to make sure ....(numerous threads are on this)

Blake P 02-23-2005 08:33 PM

I will have a set of foglights available soon (within the next month or so) from my 04, with the new clear lenses on them.

Basslink Subwoofer Help

i search a few forums did really help i wanna installed a basslink in to my sedan i get that i have to run a power wire from the battery to the new basslink subwoofer and also hook up fuse #7 also i get that part .......the only part is that i don't know ...how get to my existing Bose Subwoofer to get a signal.... how do i remove the part that covers the bose subwoofer on the rear deck so i can see the wires where i can tap into for my new basslink can someone help me

scorchie 03-23-2005 12:59 PM

If you're tapping the subwoofer outputs to feed in your Basslink, you DO NOT need the remote power. I am surprised no one had mentioned that earlier and went on about all the "fuse #7" stuff. Sticking things into the FRONT of the fusebox or wrapping wire around the leg of a fuse is definitely a hack. Also, I am not sure what fuse #7 is right now (will look later) but I seriously doubt it is truly a remote turn on wire.

Also if you're tapping the subwoofer outputs, there's no need for a line level convertor or any of that nonsense. Just feed the output of the original sub into the speaker level inputs of the Basslink. Since we're only talking about a very specific set of frequencies here, the sound quality will be minimally affected.

Don't forget to try out the 180 degree phase swap switch; we're talking Mercedes Bose systems here.

FIrst off, if you car dos not have aux outputs, and if your amp does not have high level inputs, you will need a line-level. (For basslink you don't need a line level)

Second, you will need to power the amp that powers the sub. You cannot just tap the sub wires to power the sub because there is nowhere near enough power for one thing, and impedences could be different.

Thirdly fuse #7 is just to tell teh amp when to turn on and off, not to power the amp.

Here's how a system should look

Sub Wires ----|
|
12VDC -----AMP - - - SUB
Ground----- | |
Lead wire -----|

That's a powered subwoofer right? As in it already has an amp included in it. I've been considering getting one, just wondering how hard would it be to hook up to a 2002 c230k with no bose or nav?
Give us sum feedback on how it sounds once u'r all done

DACHIGGA 03-23-2005 08:06 PM

Easy as pie, yes it is powered.

You just have to run one more wire.

MNG 03-23-2005 09:53 PM

sorry guys, but i don't think that this sub will be enough power to work in the car...i have always heard that MB's always have more sound insulation and need alittle more power with the car audio systems....can someone confirm, i'm sure it will help...but it might not satisfy

WaveyKat 03-23-2005 10:22 PM

DACHIGGA

all u sayin is in order for me to hook this up in my sedan i need to

1. run a power wire with a fuse close to the battery to the basslink power input and also a ground wire.

2. Connect the Fuse #7 in my trunk fuse box to the basslink

3. connect the input Wires(meaning Sound wires) From the basslink and tap into my EXISTING Bose subwoofer wire ????

4. tuck and hide all wires when finish

still don't know how to get to the bose subwoofer tho lol :)

DACHIGGA 03-23-2005 11:15 PM

yup.

Using fuse #7 is for controlling the amp? If I remember correctly from my Coustic amps in my Jeep, if you use line level inputs, the amp detects that and turns itself on automatically, no need to hook up a remote wire. I could be wrong though...

vraa 03-23-2005 11:23 PM

Have you already bought the Infinity Basslink? If so, good luck.

If you haven't, avoid it if you're looking to throw in some clean bass. The Basslink claps and distorts even when I just turn the volume a tad bit up. You'll save much more money (perhaps not labor wise however, weigh your options) going for a seperate amp + box + sub(s) route.

It's true that MB car has a very good insulation but it's more benefit to us. I can crank up my 2 15's really loud(extremely loud on the inside) and hear little noise from the outside (unless u open the door).

It depends on the amp, but since he's tapping the sub, then, he will be using high level inputs and not line level.

WaveyKat 03-23-2005 11:44 PM

NO i didn't buy it yet

my brother has a pair of JL audio 15inch woofer am think of using that and building a box with a amp what do u think of that?

vraa 03-24-2005 12:14 AM

Use the JL's if you're looking for an overall 'better' bass add-on.
