wheels without spacers?

wheels without spacers?
I did some reading on this forum past few days and notice alot of ppl have to use spacer for their custom wheels. I'm not a big fan of spacer or hubcentric. Is this something that is unavoidable with all manufactures?

'05 C230K '10 GLK350 '13 SMART
My Brabus wheels bolted up perfectly without spacers. Cleared the Brakes too. They used hub rings. I am using Carlsson spacers on my 1/16's and I have no complaints. They ride very smooth.
