Did I get a bargain?

I just bought a 2002 Mercedes C230 for my wife. I spent over 8 hours calling different dealers trying to locate the exact color combination and right price. My wife really wanted the black with oyster leather which was difficult to find among the few remaining c230's. Anyway, I was able to find a 2002 with Black and Oyster combo with the C4 package and Teleaid for $27400 right at invoice. Was anyone able to do any better with the curretn $1000 dealer cash incentive on the 2002?

Anways, I pick up my car next week and would like to know more about the teleaid and the yearly price etc. Also, does anyone know of any good CD/MP3 combos that fit easily into the c230. I was really surprised that the car didn't come with CD standard. Of course, my Audi TT also came with tape deck standard. Thanks for any info.

Excuse my ignorance, what is a DCX employee?

Is that Daimler Chrysler? My uncle works for Chrysler, could I have gotten a better discount that way?

Yes, a Daimler Chrysler employee. Unfortunately the MB program is only valid for active employees and spouses. 2 cars per year.

Base Red was like $25,850 or so, for 2003 it is $25,615
C5 for 2002 was $2,750
C7 for 2002 was $750
Auto was like $1,300
Total MSRP $30,650 give or take a couple hundred.

Without the CD changer your price should bw just above $30k. There is a $1,000 rebate available which brings it down to $29k. If they are actually giving you another $1000 way to go.

this dealership still have around 15 of 2002 C230Ks in stock, all 2002 C230Ks were offered at min. $2000 off MSRP depends on the options installed on the vehicle!

by the way, this offer applies to general public, you don't need to be a DCX emplyee to get this deal.

I think I can get an OEM CD changer installed for free if I take delivery by next friday.

Hey, that's great for you. I could still beat it becasue my discount starts at a percentage off the MSRP and then any rebates available would apply. I could get yours for $26k.

Our 12.25% discount can't be beat. Too bad my brother can't take advantage of it. He will continue to be a BMW driver.

DCX Engineer, you gotta love the EP. I see you have a 2001 300M. I have a 2000 300M in Shale Green and charcoal leather. No PHP because I hated the 16" rims that came with it. Otherwise loaded. I love the 17"chrome. but at the time couldn't get them with PHP due to the lower rating on the tires. LOL. I am likely trading it for a Liberty next Spring.

DCX Engineer, I didn't realize you were from Toledo. I don't think I've seen your c230 on the road yet. Actaully I've only seen 1 or 2 and those were up in Ann Arbor.
