Can a C-class car be considered as "luxury car"?
M

I dont know but as I said to the rental agency agent at the counter when they offered me a new Opel for rent ......
" I dont know about the Opel, does anyone take it on the Autobahn ? "
I rented a Mercedes (luxury rental car) and took the gas pedal all the way to the floor as fast as it would go and lived to tell the story. That is the difference between a luxury car and all other cars.
When you are driving at Max speed and a guy hauling a caravan cuts you off you will be quite confident that your car is a luxury car.
car's in this catagory: C-class, 3-series, A4, X-type, CTS, 9-3 Aero, IS, G35, etc. price range from $30-60k.
cmon - you know the g35 line is RWD

That's the only disappointing thing about the C-class is the lack of legroom in the backseat. your right, anyone of a decent height up front is not going to allow for any legroom in the backseat.
Thankfully we have the ML 350 for the family trips and group adventures, while the 230 is relegated to husband and wife only outings.
but its a whole different story in the USA where MSRP, financing, and leasing rates are super cheap....
Not sure how anyone can totally disregard it as a luxury car. It is, just a smaller one like the leaders in this class.
6. Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The C-Class is Mercedes-Benz's entry-luxury sedan that was restyled for 2005 with a new body, headlights and taillights, grille, and wheels. For 2006 the C-Class gets a new generation of V6 engines including a 201-horsepower 2.5-liter V6 in the C230, a 228-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 in the C280, and a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 in the C350. The 362-horsepower 5.4-liter V8 in the C55 AMG continues unchanged. New active front head restraints are standard on the entire C-Class line.
