SATNAV screen

Does anyone know if there is a way to switch off the screen that displays the SATNAV, radio, telephone etc. options. I find the bright screen distracting at night. In other words is there a "screen saver" option like a PC screen that allows the radio etc. to be on but the screen is off / dimmed?

Thanks in advance.

It can be changed to night mode and turned off. Check your manual.

You didn't say what model or year, US or Euro, you have but if it's like mine, a US 2004.5, then press the display button to turn it off.

Thanks - It is a 2005 Euro spec with Comand APS. I have found the night mode setting but nothing about how to turn the screen off. I don't have a display button.
