That's gonna be a task and a half. The market for the manual 230 is not big and I'd be surprised if anybody come out with a short-shift kit specifically for the w203. Most likely, you'll have to get a custom made kit if you want that.

the sport sedans already come with a short shift, or so they claim. i think it's pretty good but mine is starting to get notchy, it requires extra effort to get over the "hump" right in the middle of the gear change.

I have the earlier 2002 transmission with 2 linkages and a cable. Its not exaclty the slickest shifting thing out there, albeit the throw is relatively short. I would say with the box of rocks shifter feel it tends to have, a short shift kit would not be the hot setup. Its going to take some mechanical advantage away and make it even more difficult to shift smoothly. Also, shifting fast in a synchro gear box w/helical gears is not a great idea. Very hard on the sychros and the GB as a whole. Save the whole speedy shifting thing for something with straight cut gears and a crashbox (ie a racecar!).

Also, learn to heeltoe and double clutch, your gear box will thank you for your less heinous downshifts!
