C-coupe instrument LCD going dim

I had an entire of the LEDs go out on the clock, that when it was 8:08, it would look like 8:00.
Just had them replaced the entire cluster on warranty.
One thing I noticed after they replaced the cluster; the trip computer, when you start the car, the MPG starts at 6.0 MPG (it used to start at something higher). Consequently, the car's trip computer says I only get around 11.3 sometimes. When I know it's higher. This is only for the "After Start" trip computer.
However, the "After Reset" trip computer is more accurate on the MPG. In fact, it's almost dead on. For the past few fill ups, the MPG has been very accurate for the whole tank. If I calculate the MPG at the fill up and it's say 24 MPG, the After Reset computer will also state something similar and not deviate more than 1 MPG.
It is possible that the dealership forgot to calibrate the trip computer (assuming that it needs calibration), however, I'm happy that the After Reset MPG calculator works so well.
It's a big project, the car was in the shop for two days I believe. Get it done asap under warranty, if you were to fix this small glitch yourself, I'm told the cluster alone costs over $1000.

OMG. That's great Frank. The MB rulebook. Is this the one that says its OK for stuff on the C-Class to keep breaking down because the car is cheap?
Are you sure its not in the "Der Big Book of MB Quality"?
Cosmetic Specs, in the form of an ISO certified and controlled document govern things like paint, plastics, chrome, styled surfaces, etc...and what is acceptable or not. Fitment is controlled by print specs and assembly process documentation. In general, this is an accross the board spec, only modified by Zoning...
however higher end classes are much better enforced than the lower end model. that's a plain and simple fact.
Oh yea, and thanks for repeating/clarify what I said on material/component quality.
It's based off the 3.2 liter V6...so?
perhaps now you are gonna tell me that a McLaren F1's not worth the money because the V12 is based off the V12 in the run of the mill 750/850. Or the Pagani Zonda is overpriced because it has a V12 based on the old S600/SL600 V12.
I'm done with your idiotic argument.
