Bent Grill..... part?

I was driving on the highway the other day, and someone ran over a piece of shredded tire and it kicked up and hit my lower grill (see picture). It bent it in pretty good, but I managed to make it "unoticeable" unless you deliberately look for it.. Is there a part that I can just order and replace it myself? Or do I have to deal with the dealer...

Here is the grill that I am talking about:

Thanks.

PS. (Off topic) How would I install my German plate on the front of the car? Would I Have to buy a holder then drill or glue? it on?

Amazingly, a few weeks ago I hit a lawnmower bag on the freeway and it obliterated my lower grille. Theres nothing more beautiful then rush hour traffic in Southern California and big 4x4 trucks driving over freeway obstacles, leaving them for cars that can barely run over a newspaper without damage, let alone a lawnmower bag at 60 miles per hour.

Anyways, I took my car to the dealer and had them relace it for me, downside is that it cost about $175.00 or so for the part and $50.00 for labor and replacement clips to hold it in place. Then again, it was in much worse condition then yours, at least yours is still in one piece. Mine was mangled beyond any hope of "bending back into shape". I had no choice and had to replace it, unless I wanted a big gaping hole where the grille used to be.

I'm certain you could just walk into a dealer and order it yourself for replacement. It's an AMG part and I believe the part number is listed on the inside of the grille on a plastic clip.

Or you can do what I did, bring in the damaged grille and let the service advisor get a laugh as he orders the right part for you.

There are a number of different versions of that grill, that all look the same (to me) but there are differences apparantly.

Best thing is to remove your existing grill, the part no should be on a silver sticker with the AMG logo. Alternatively your dealer should be able to source it with your VIN number.

As an example here are two part no's for the centre AMG grill:

AMG Centre Grill

A203 885 13 53
or
A203 885 03 53

You will probably also need some grill clips

A002 988 51 81

Be careful with the grill clips if you do this yourself, the spring tabs inside the clip break very easily!
