MALAYSIA is NOT an island..and does not belong to Pacific Island.
It is a penisular and connect to thailand. It should be listed as south east asia.
Another thing you should note, during mid 90s...Singapore ranked 1st as mercedes customer in term of market shares. That is pretty amazing considering the high price of mercedes over there... A S320 will make your wallet about 200k usd thinner...
Xeon - everything's an island if you think big enough.
MB-BOB, you knew the risks... :p
I'm also assuming no one lives in Antarctica.

Xeon, thanks, I've deleted Malaysia from Pac. Islands... you folks can decide where you fit. Talk among yourselves...
tommy, Bjork doesn't deserve her own island, stupid "duck" dress and all...
Sri Lanka is in close proximity with India, although they don't wanna be...
OK, so I mispelled Madagascar, I'll change that one...
D'oh! So we clowns in the U.S. can see the results of this poll, I've added an extra option for United States (I found out moderators can add more than ten. Whoopee!) So vote away USA...
Accord, you don't need a vacation home in Antarctica... Seems to me you're on permanent vacation right here in the states...

young, you were right, of course. Greatest man on earth couldn't please twelve...

That's what I've learned in my geography lessons anyway...
Ok, ok, I'm a Besserwisser, but don't hate me too much for that!
Neither Greenland nore Iceland belongs to (and should, according to my knowledge, not even be associated with) Canada. I would say Greenland belongs to Scandinavia (or Denmark to be more precise) and Iceland belongs to what we here call "Norden" (Sweden+Norway+Denmark+Finland+Iceland = "Norden" ; Sweden+Norway+Denmark+Finland = Scandinavia).

That said, I wasn't dividing the land masses by political association, but rather geographic proximity. I agree that Greenland and Iceland are not Canada and have more cultural association with Scandanavia, but they are closer to Canada than Norway. Not sure we have any members from either island, anyway.

(ok, i'll help you out a little... if you don't vote, you don't see the results readily. there is a button (see results) but it sucks to keep pressing that... so mb-bob put in the US so all of the US-ians can see the results.)

...What's the translation for "Besserwisser, please?"

Here's a pic of what I, 'til just recently, believed was a Besserwisser

MB-BOB I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ but if this is a non-US Graographical poll why would you put US as a choice of country?
Ohh, it means nothing. It was a german WW2 combat airplane. Hmmm, no, no, wait a minute... That was Messerschmitt. Ahhh, whatever....

I realize that the Philippines are a part of SE Asia. However, knowing that we have several of you here, I thought you might prefer your own billing... I DO get credit for spelling Philippines correctly, though. Don't I?

Your picture is of a Messerschmitt bf109E-3, circa 1938-41. (With a 2-bladed prop, it could be a C or D model, though) I can see how the pilot could be a BesserWISSER once he was jumped by a pair of Spitfire Mk VII's, though...
. The picture shows a C model.

Not trying to be a smart aleck, just happened to discover that one night when I was too lazy to log in, but wanted to see a poll result.
