not sure...
much smoother but quicker i would doubt... it has less power and less torge... not by a lot in either case ..but would imagine the w202 would be quicker...
to be honest and it was only a short drive in both the c240 just didnt seem to want to go unless revved really hard where as the kompressors i have driven - even an e200k which im not sure if you get in the US? felt lively?

c240 vs 202
Idont know, but when i drove the 230k w202 it seemed more slugish then my c240 6sp. But maybe its just my preseption. It is broken in though, and i do have a mufler and k&n on it, so it does feel to have a little faster pickup then whe I just got it.
