Reseting the Check Engine Light???

Reseting the Check Engine Light???
I did a search and did not come with a straight answer of how to do it.
I was putting in some new air filters in my 2002 C240 and did not push the air filter assembly down all the way so the check engine light came on. So I popped the hood and pushed it back down and now it seated all the way but the check engine light is still on?????
Can I reset it by myself or do I have to bring it to the dealer to reset it?
Any help is appreciated.

The car runs fine and everything so it would be a shame to have to bring it in just for that.

To check the code and reset the light I use this obd2 tool.
It works great with our cars and it's cheap.
They now carry it at Walmart!
