Tein Basic CO installed, BUT..

I had my CO installed couple weeks ago and it is already at the lowest setting on rear, BUT it is still high like stock...For the front (35 ET) I do not want to use spacers, so that is the best I can get for the front. I could buy and install the spacers on the fronts, but I just do not want to deal with the vibration. It already bothers me big time for having a little vibration by using 3 mm spacers on the rears(38 ET - 3 = 35 ET)

Anyway, the COs have been on the car for only 3 weeks now and it has been driven for only 100-150 KMs. Do you guys think my car is going to be even lower a bit more?! I know one thing tho,I have stock spring pads no 4. I think that is the reason why my car is alot higher than, say, Frank's/ Drex's/Blake's car on the rears.

Also, I have this knocking sound after the COs are on car. it's not really noticeable but kind of bothers me tho. I came back to the local shop who installed my COs and the mechanic told me that the sound was normal for the breaking in period. I guess we'll see.

I dont know about the technical details, but the car looks great. sure the back could be lower, but if you hit a bump then your suspension will top out and feel terrible. tint the windows and the car will look sick from outside.

Thanks Mike. Actually, I am planning to tint the car once I got time. I believe I have to leave my car in the shop for hours to get my windows done.

Regarding my rears, I am not thinking to slam the car tho. I just prefer the rears are lower abit more. I actually want the same thing for the fronts

Easy fix. Your wheels are replicas, right? Therefore it should come with hubcentric rings. If it does, then great! You can have a shop make custom spacers with hubcentric for around 60-70 dollars a piece. Spacers with hubcentric rings will eliminate vibrations.

Really, your car looks good. It is already quite low. I don't know what you are expecting. If its the look that you want, sure you can get it a bit lower, but really, why? It looks good just as it is.

Ohh, can you minimize the size of the pic next time?

Yes, the wheels are replicas (Moven C-16). I have these 3 mm custom spacers from Tirerack and the car vibrates. Well, I will shop around to find shop who does custom spacers! Thanks BJ.

Emrliquidlife: Thanks for the good words. BTW, You have to see my car in
person. It is just plain high.Somehow the pics I took showing
the car is pretty low. In fact, it is NOT

I guess, I will wait and see for my CO to settle more.

Waveycat: Your car looks great, but it is too low on the rear for me. Mine is
at the lowest on the rear and it's nothing close to you rear's
height LOL.

You are supposed to remove the spring pads with use of coil overs

you should remove your spring pads asap. it can sometime cause the rear springs to be damaged because the adjuster is set on at an angle on the pads. highest setting on the TEIN will be about 1 finger gap for the rear on 19s.

You will likely need to raise the height on the CO's when the
spring pad is removed, and will be no problem to get it where you want it.
Who the heck installed them with the spring pads?

I asked about that, and same thing, was told it was dangerous.

Just talked to my installer,I was told the spring pads need to be there, so I wouldn't hear knocking sounds from the rear

Is it really a must to remove the pads when you have CO?

Tell them you talked to the person whose car TEIN used for R&D with (me) and they didn't leave the rear spring pads on his car, so why would they go against what the manufacturer had done for R&D? Think that'll be enough to convince them?...
