Question Interior falling apart?
I slipped my auto-shifter into Drive this morning, and to my surprise, the entire shifter-boot housing separated from the console. The plastic thing (simulated chrome) which attaches to the leather boot was just sitting there. I could see the insulation and wiring popping out right under it! Now, no mater what I do, it won't stay in place. I've even tried to coax (yeah, bend) the little clip on the top and bottom out a bit to hold it in place. Doesn't help. Damn, I really don't want to go to the dealer for this one.... Anyone else have similar problems? Any fixes, short of glue? (No, I wouldn't really do that...)

Happened to me too. Quality problem in my oppinion. The dealer fixed it.

my shift boot thing is also like that, i'm just waiting till more things pile up to take it to the dealer, which i think it's about time, considering that the cover for my mirror in the visor broke off, and i think i have a tiny leak in my differential. ofcourse the differential leak is important, but i just have such a hatred towards my dealer.
