I was looking on EBAY, and this guy says his Euro COMAND is new, but I feel a bit hesitant. Anyone have any input on this unit. COMAND LINK

The system you mentioned will that fit 2004 C230 in the small empty space under the radio.
the only reason i wont get it is because i have the very large radio and i would need a dash kit.

Well I do not want to replace my stock radio I want to fit it under the radio . In my 04 there is a huge sunglasses or small note pad space right under the stock radio and above the temp gauages avic-n2

Hi

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I dont know the comand system is a bit pricey at 3 grand here...
but I heard alot of good things on GARMIN they are small and easy to use portable systems....I might get one of those since you can bring them in either car you use all you have to do is get a bigg sd card and it saves more maps and then just update it every chance you get.
you can get them for 349 or 450.
it also talks and is touch screen and easy to use.
here is the picture and stats.

My $0.02 is get a head unit, you can probably find some brand new units on Ebay for around $800 to $1000. Just a little more but you get a lot more than those small portables.

Make sure you get the antenna and C1/C2 connectors so you can install it.
Here's the 2006 version, never said it was $900 but it's available for a lot less than $3,000 -

I see that you bought the c330 and not the 340. Is there a reason? Do you notice the missing features?

The speed sensor will only help when the turns come up. You should actually have a 1-2 second delay (the turn will come up 2 seconds before the navi will know) and that's because of the relay from the car to the sat and back to the car.

I would first check the GPS module itself. Do you have a good line-of sight? Is something near it that's making the signal change?
Also, you could try ejecting the navi disc when it shows that your off-course and putting it back in. Sometimes this forces the GPS to focus the point on your location a bit better.
Finally, if you can't figure it out, call Pioneer Tech Support: 800-421-1404
They should walk you through it until you figure out the issue.
Good luck,
Erik

I was thinking about getting a Pioneer navi until the issue of the reverse and the speed sensor came up, then I got lazy.
But you say you didn't bother with either of those, and it worked well for you? Can you elaborate? If it's accurate enough, I may just go for it.
Thanks.
