Wt Shnickeys!!

ARGHHH.... My o2 sensor went out on my car, so i replaced it and bought a part from doval motorsports, i believe thats what the site is called. My buddy dad is a mechanic, so he installed it for free. His ecu sanner read that it was a o2 scanner. Today, when i was driving my check engine light came on and my car bogged out when i was flooring it( merging on the fwy). What do you this maybe wrong?

What do you think the codes were that you got and the new ones you are getting? Don't hold back, pending codes too... Just because you solved one problem doesn't mean another one wasn't lurking far behind. Also, it's quite possible he didn't clip the connector on tight and it worked it's way lose. It's possible that whatever caused the first one to fail caused the new one fail. It's possible that smoke & soot from the DAY fire got in your intake and clogged your air filter. Also, consider that "flooring it" will cause the ECU to run in open loop mode and bypass the O2 sensor so you know that's not what's causing your problem.

the DL, i took my car to the mechanic shop to scan my ecu. i had a check engine light and continuous bogging of my car. When i scanned the ecu, it read, "misfire of # 2 cylinder". I fixed the spark plugs and my car is running great. My car only has 60 k miles. I gotta but 3 filters now for my service B coming up.
