Drag strip...
Well I went to the drag strip in Orlando tonight...
My first time actually drag racing...
Run #1 16.623 @85.51 Mph 2.663 60'
Run #2 16.241 @87.04 Mph 2.488 60'
Run #3 16.076 @87.40 Mph 2.389 60'
80 dergrees out, kinda humid...
Is that good or bad? Anybody have some hints or tips for the next time?

average times range between 15.7 to 16.2. i say you're around there. your time got better with every run. i say it you did very well.
of course traction control off, launch at 3k, shift without letting go of the gas, maybe even taking out the spare tire and tool kit.

Just raced my car at Fixx Fest 08 yesterday. Considering my 19s weigh a ton and I have an auto tranny, I think I did fairly well. Also, this was my first time on a track.
#1) 16.799 @ 85.88
#2) 16.802 @ 83.43
then I took my speakers, spare & tool kit out
#3) 16.658 @ 84.91 (raced in Dyno mode)
#4) 16.407 @ 84.69
My best 60' was a 2.403
I just read about launching at 3k, so I'll keep that in mind next time. I thought turning dyno mode on for the 3rd run would help, but got a better time without. I am getting a K&N filter and maybe the sprint booster, no idea if those will help but I will post new times when I get a chance.
