WINDOW SEAL DIY: Rain rain go away!!!
Anybody did a rubber window seal DIY install?
I went to a body shop and was told that seal installation will take a couple of hours since the door panel has to be taken out(meaning: rob a bank to pay for labor). Is this true?
Further inspection shows there is a "lip" where part of the seal goes under otherwise the rest all snaps in place.
I'm very desperate to get this done with this almost daily wet weather.
Also getting tired of vacuuming H2O out.
Don't exactly know that the seals are the cause of the leak but most forums say
it is likely.
Thanks in advance.

According to some forum members with similar problems; the window seal is the likely culprit.
So I ordered the rubber seal thru a body shop and was informed today that parts & labor is $356 for 2 seals installed-w/c they say will take a couple of hours to do.
Just curious if this is too much for a seal installation...otherwise i'll do it myself.
Thanks for the reply.
PS: The only time the car gets water inside is when it's parked on an incline.
) or something similar on the inside around the door. Park it on an incline and spray the outside with a garden hose. If that proves to be correct, there are threads telling you how to get the door panel off. If not, then more investigation is needed.
