if you do, then get something atleast 3 ply. and like super weather proof. my neighbor had bad experience with a cheap car cover. really bad experience lol

In a couple of years all of them start to wear out from sun exposure and get embedded with grit and dirt. Toss it out and buy a new one.
Never put it on if your car is dirty and NEVER use it if it is windy unless it fits skin tight - it will trash your paint. Worth it to have one "tailored" a bit so that there is no puckering or slack. Don't ask me how I know.

honestly how often would you use a car cover anyway? if you're going to store it and drive it a while then i would get one. even if you park the car outside to me it's a hassle to put it on every time.

I have that car cover, bought in 2004 and I won't buy another. I use it everyday. I get lots of lint from the innner liner. The front star started to tear out after I 1st time I washed it (1 year 1 week after purchase). I would get a Cover King or something else next time
