sounds like a loose pulley?

i notice when i'm driving the car i hear a high whining sound like a loose pulley...anyone have this problem or any info before i take down to the dealer..

MB has been known to have the bearings in idler pulleys go bad. If your car is under warranty, enjoy the loaner while they figure it out.

You're positive that's not the supercharger?...

i'm positive its not the supercharger..i use to have a supercharger in my is300 before the trubo setup
i know the sound of the charger
damn i only had the car for a month...POS

You had it a whole month and only one problem, you should be happy. I'm assuming you got it used and the last person sold it because of all the problems. I'm going through the same think on my kids SLK, one $800 level problem per month, thank goodness I've been able to fix each one on the cheap. At least yours is under warranty.

I figured that with your list of cars. I was just messin' with you. Buellwinkle may be right on this one, but it would be easier if you had an audio clip of it. If you can't get that, I'd say bring it to the dealership if it's still under warranty and just ask them if you can take them around to hear the noise.

yeah its used i bought it for the wife to drive as a daily driver..bought it with 12,000 miles on it car was mint condition still smells new inside..
ill be taking it to mercedes tuesday let them deal with it
