There are only two cd-changers, the MB-Alpine and the Becker Silverstone 2662. The Becker won't fit in the glovebox. Yes, people have installed changers themselves. There are numerous threads regarding changers. Please use the search function.

CD changer. As far as I know you can only get the MB CD changer which uses fibre optic. You can get it on ebay or from Gaston (@ clairparts.com?).
The installation is also really easy. I did it myself. You can find installation instructions on leonoff.net. I think the SLK instructions should apply. Has anyone used this for the W203?

Thanks to all the replies. My wife and I just
bought a 2002 C320 wagon for $6200 under MSRP
today! We are really looking forward to driving
this car.
Congratulations. We got about the same deal and have had ours for about a month. It's a delight and very, very convenient for schlepping.

Just bought the MB/Alpine from eBay (on the best deal ever: $100!!!). You can do it yourself as long as the system recognizes it. My seller (an MB tech) advises letting MB do it so they can make sure the unit is recognized. You will find other advise and mine is second-hand.

We are limited in the models that are available in the plan. Basically none of the limited production vehicles.

For example: my FORD code gives me an additional $500 off on my best deal on a JAG or lets me buy a VOLVO below invoice. GM and SAAB are similar.
But I really want an MB.
Thanx for your help.

I ordered my car at the end of march, had it somtime in may, they gave me about 1,000 $ off, which I thought was not too bad on a ordered car, this is the first car I have ever ordered, the wait seemed painfull.

Paid $500 under MSRP, which was like pulling teeth. The dealer claimed that DC policy is flat MSRP for Euro Delivery, and that I was stealing money from them (the dealer). Oh, and I didn't have to pay delivery charges. Barely paid for the airfare, but what a great trip!
