John,

looking at the picture, i think he need to cut the bumper to make room for that huge intercooler or he could be riding with no front bumper

. it doesn't look that bad...

Yeah, you can see how deep he cut into the fron bumper... nearly all the way on the sides and bottom... left the top plate fairly stock.

This mod, in combination with water misting, could be a pretty good increase in power. If nothing else, it could allow running cheaper gas with less chance of pinging.

I'm pretty sure a IC swap has been discussed before and Renntech made one before, but there was actually power loss.

the renntech had horrible endtanks... that could've caused turbulance, effectively sucking air into the end tanks (and away from the motor)

badly designed endtanks can also make part of the air circulate in the intercooler itself rather than go towards the motor reducing effeciency

so just because renntech sucks doesn't mean this mod wouldn't make power (especially on a car that looks like it may have maxed out the stock IC's CFM)

those endtanks on that intercooler look good, any chance someone could fabricate somethin exactly like that and post a dyno or have that person post some info? that engine looks pretty modded up...
