That's OK, Ford can produce and sell them or just wait for Chevy and Dodge to dominate the pony car market in 2 years. This could be just like 1970 when muscle cars reached their peak only to be squashed in the early 70's by insurance and rising oil prices, hmm. Will the Camaro and Challenger be ready in time when most cars have 100 mpg hybrid-diesels?

After really hittin up these forums and doing my fair share of searching, I have discovered that modding is REALLY that much fun. Sadly, I have discovered that modding a MB is a very, very expensive adventure. So my next car will be something super modable - im aiming for a vtec (b18c5) austin mini... just for something really different from the c class and its daily commuting purpose.

BMW 3 series are super modable and euro There is PLENTY of competition out there and lots of buyers. I really cannot believe how much money I spent on my C Class as opposed on how much I would have spent on modding an M3

WOW.....everybody here has good ideas in there future cars, makes me think twice about my choices nice to see this much response too .........or should i just finish modding my car since its all paid for and no value if i was to sell it. Right now seems going value is 27k or less. This car is 2 years and 3mos longest car ived ever owned, and only with 14k miles sometimes i thinkits a waste selling the car cause didnt really get 2 used it or enjoy it

Audi planning R4 to compete with Cayman, Boxster
Audi is planning a third sports car in addition to the long-standing TT and recently-introduced R8, according to the latest issue of Germany's Autobild. The car would be sold under the R4 moniker, the report said.
Like the R8, the R4 would be a two-seater with a mid-engine configuration. The base model would have at least 200 horsepower, and pricing would start around 40,000 euros. The car would be contracted of aluminum and steel, weighing around 2,600 lbs. High performance models with power between 280 horsepower and 350 horsepower are also likely, the magazine said. It would compete with the Porsche Cayman and Boxster.

I would not get any Mitsubishi. They are considering pulling out of the North American market entirely. Which would make it a nightmare to service, and it would have almost no resale value. I knew someone that bought a perfectly running 2 year-old Yugo for $800, back in the day.
