dilemma....2002 or 2003? Please read.
Hi everyone. I'm trading in my 99.5 A4 1.8t for a C230k coupe soon. I realy want the 02 b/c it has the possibility of getting a smaller suprchgr pulley and get more power. I want one w/ 5spsd auto, C1+C5+C7 black/charcoal. And there's the problem. The dealer in town states that there are no 02 black that has C1....in fact there are no more w/ C1 pkg left in Southwestern US. If i want all those I'd have to get an 03. I dont know if they're trying to sell (i'm leasing BTW) me 03 or is C1 just not a popular pkg.

It is next to none that you will find a C-coupe with C1 package. It is a very costly option on the C-coupe.
at $1250 dollars most people opt for the C2 pkg instead the C1 or they simply just get the C5 pkg

get in touch with Auto-Stiegler here in So Cal. they have a pretty big inventory and when i bought my car, about half of the coupes had C1 on them. dont kow about now, but they're usu pretty good about having things. They're in Encino.

IMHO:
C1 is worth the money if you have multiple drivers and use the memory features to their capacity. If you are the only driver, then you'll probably only adjust the seat a few times til it feels right...and should save the money to spend for something else to impress a prospective "other driver"....
The only thing you'll find difficult with the manual seat adjustment in non C1 cars is the recliner knob's position. They stuffed it between the console and middle seat bolster...it's a PITA to get to.
Jump on the 2002...maybe you can use the lack of the desired feature as a bargaining chip (hint).
