Wheel Locks?

I bought a 2004.5 c230k about 2 months ago from a private party. I made a big mistake in that i did not look for the key to take off the wheel lock. Now incase of a flat, im ****ed. When i realized this, i went down to Mercedes Benz of Fresno, and the service tech informed me that the locks and keys are specific to the wheels, meaning that there is no key lock that MB could get that would take off my wheels . He said the only option would be to buy new wheel locks and a key, and drill into the old ones and take them out.

Is this BS? Is there another way to get around this? Input in general would be nice...

I didn't think that the OEM wheels had wheel locks. Mine didn't and I have a 2004.5.

damn, that sucks... I think that's the only way to do it.

there is a cheaper way although:
drive to the nearest area of ill-repute, look for the corner with the least amount of lighting and enlist the aid of some young locals--they'll have it off in no time!

From that picture it doesnt look like you even have wheel locks. Wheel locks will look like this

When in doubt Vise Grips if they fit. Or put a flathead screwdriver in the divets at an angle and wack it with a rubber mallet.

If they are Mercedes Benz wheel locks they should have a set of master keys. At least all the roadside guys are supposed to.

Its a long story but I ended up needing to get my wheel locks removed and I didnt have the key. It cost me $20 for all 4. All they did was hammer a socket over the wheel locks and then take them off.

Aha upon further inspection they are just lug nut caps.

There is a tool that you use to take them off with i believe, and that is what i am missing. Apparently the dealer doesnt have these? Sounds like

I have found new caps and the tool for these online, for pretty cheap.

Thanks guys.
