I went to a friends house yesterday and we (I mostly watched and learned) performed a Service B on my car, plus we installed new OEM front brake pads because I was getting some uneven wear on my left front inner pad. So I went ahead and reset my FSS and the computer stated "Service A in 13000 miles" as it should. But I just got back from a 40 mile drive this morning and the Service A indicator still shows 13000...the mileage hasn't adjusted after driving 40 miles. So I reset it again when I got back home just now and I will see what happens when I go for another drive...hopefully the mileage will adjust properly.
Am I missing a step or something??
Has this ever happened to anyone?
By the way the dealership was going to charge me $700 for a service B and new front brake pads / I bought all the parts needed (OEM brake pads, oil filter, oil, dust filter, brake fluid) for $200 and I gave my friend some $ for the 4 hours he spent working on my car / so I saved a lot of money!
If any of you South Florida MB C-class owners are looking for a reliable guy to do service on your car, my friend is the man. You save a fortune compared to the dealer and he is easy to do business with. He will only be in town another 2 months or so because he is joining the Airforce. He lives in Fort Lauderdale...

I'm not sure but I have noticed that in my car the FSS only goes down by 100 mile increments. So if you are expecting to see a countdown mile by mile, I don't think that will happen. I would wait a couple more days and see how it looks. Remember supposdely the FSS mointors the way and conditions that you drive under and that affects the reading as well.
