Something Slow
the sound sounds like it is coming from the front of the car but check the comparment under your armrest if it is .... the Insulation under the driveshaft tunnel is making the noise..
insulation pad in the driveshaft tunnel can come loose and rub on the driveshaft causing the ticking. It is a common problem and easily fixed by your stealership

WaveyKat nailed it.
Put car on jackstands, unbolt metal cover behind tranny and slide back over drive shaft - no need to remove. Trim small piece of black insulation hanging down and contacting driveshaft with a pair of robust scissors.
If you can't do this yourself do NOT take it to an MB dealership or they are SURE to gouge you. Any wrench with a lift can easily do it in 30 minutes labor, unless they have a one hour minimum.....
Ticking gone! ;-)
