Early e46 to w203 comparisons...
i dont think i will need the ZHP package since i am planning on doing FI.
also found this crazy s/c for it, running at 14.5 psi it gives you 475hp
too bad it costs $18K

I've only seen few cars no e46 including the M3 runs that high of the boost. they'll have to lower their compression ratio to around 1:9 tho. LOTS of work..lol
car wise if you are looking to switch over I would go for the ZHP. if new the E90 328i will be a great buy.

In terms of sound system - unlike you nlpamg I have the BOSE System for my W203, and the H/K for the BMW and for me the H/K obviously wins. I love pushing that button for extra loudness!
As for your race with the C32, just make sure it's a very windy road. Unless he's done a lot of steering/handling mods, BMW's are naturally better. However, 400HP JEEEEEEEZ, after the corner RUNNNN!!!!
nlpamg - wanna switch cars?

I love this board, where else can I get info on my new M3 without being called a n00b and to STFF! Thanks Ling! yeah, I think I will just get the filters...
As for the steering wheel, I like the alcantara, but I also like the blue and red stitching that matches the ///M as well.
I had "carbon fiber" or "CF look" from the factory on my w202, and I have to say that wouldn't want to go back to that and would have Al or wood any day.
I realized a few other things that I have on the e46 that I don't have on the w203 that I kinda like. The pneumatic lumbar support on the M3 is awesome! the thigh support is worthless... however, I think that in terms of overall comfort though, both cars are pretty equal.
I got a new "mod"... a USC antenna ball!
I'll be swapping out the antenna on tuesday anyway when the new one arrives.here's a pic taken today, the car has gotten pretty dirty and will get washed tomorrow (I can't wait for the painted reflectors and silver bulbs!):

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

there.....
it's just a matter of necessity
if you want to get stuck and drive sides ways in a snow storm drive an M3
if you want to drive straight in the snow drive a 4MATIC

yeah, terrible f-in loss, played like crap... I took the damn ball off. I still have a USC Alumni plate on the w203 though...
as for the hardtop, I like it, but it's too much $$$. besides, I live in SoCal where it's almost always sunny and I almost always drive with the top down (even when it's cold
).I got to drive an e90 325i yesterday (I was having the M3 programmed and I'll probably be able to drive another 325i on Monday when they re-detail the M3...
). I'll sum up the review of the 325i like this, I'd rather have my 2005 C230K over the 325i. The 325i's engine although it's supposed to be more powerful than the i4, seemed pretty weak and very low in torque to me. The styling was EH, including the interior. The sound system was pretty good for one without H/K, I'd take the stock sound system of the e90 over the stock sound system of a w203 without H/K or Bose. I have to say though, is that the Steptronic transmission is better than the 5-speed I have and leaps and bounds better than the 7G-tronic. I must say though, the car was smooth, stable, and quiet. It's not bad for a cruiser, but not too much fun to drive.
