What color is this??? Help Needed!
im trying to buy a new steering wheel, but i cant find the color code for my current one.
Does anybody know the exact color code or MB's name for the darker leather shown on my current steering wheel and dashboard. The color needs to match my airbag insert or it will not look right. i know the seats are the ASH color, but i cant find anything on the darker colored grey. I have to get it exactly right because the wheel im getting is a special order. Thanks for helping.

I don't know if there is a colour code or special name for JUST the darker grey, as it's not an option to order different secondary colours. You just have to take the colour that comes with the upholstery colour code of your choice?

I think you can give your car's VIN number to your parts dept guy and every single thing in your car will be shown on the computer, like interior color, options, etc. That will be the easiest and most accurate way for you to order the right thing. Good luck!!

it has to be MB Oyster leather, that is the only thing that comes close.
here are all the leather colors available for your car
Oyster
Ash
Charcoal
Pacific blue
Java
charcoal AMG
charcoal/dark blue AMG
charcoal/merlot AMG
I have the brocher in front of me, it shows all avavailble colors and that color looks exactley like the oyster color strip.

Sorry you guys, here I go again! He already said he has "ash" interior. There's no "oyster" involved. Both ash and oyster are two-tone interiors (so is Java for that matter). The wheel and upper dash of his interior is simply the 2nd color of the ash interior. I believe if he's getting a special order wheel (3rd party?) their "ash" color should match his if they're supplying parts for M-B.
The darker shade of the oyster interior is not the same as the darker shade of ash.
Edit: And besides, oyster interior is not available with Brilliant Silver. They don't mix oyster and ash in the same car. I could go on...

Figured it out
I had the tech guy pull up my car and found out it is called "dark orion grey". i confirmed this with the place im buying my new wheel from and it matches the name in the german parts catalog, so i ordered it. should be here in 10 - 14 days.
btw, im upgrading to a wood/ leather wheel. ill have pics up when i get it. thanks for the help.
