Rpm Mayhem!!!

While on the road trying to pass those ever so slow sunday drivers...
I stepped on the gas and a strange thing happened...
The car did not respond yet the rpm was up. It felt like it was in neutral.
Scared the "you know what" out of me.

The problem was already gone as I was trying to pull over...

Anybody had this problem before??

Hope it's not the transmission...
HELP!!!

could be a slip in transmission. Check the fluid see if they are still good.

trottle lag is common for electronic trottle system try sprint booster that should give you much better trottle response. in fact may be a little bit too muc haha

A c240 with an auto trans isn't what I'd call responsive even under the best of circumstances. Wait till you spend a week in a loaner with the gawd awful 7 speed.

Read a lot of this happening with ML owners...step on the gas and RPMs would just rev. They just restart the car and all is normal again, damn electronics.
