C230 CD Changer MP3 track names
I have a 2006 C230 with a factory CD Changer. I have no problems with making MP3 CDs or listening to them via the CD changer, what I'm confused about is whether the Audio 20 unit can display the track names. There is no straight answer on this issue listed on any forum only many conflicting posts.
So here is what I propose...
If you are successful in getting the factory head unit to display track names from an MP3 CD played via the MB CD changer, please indicate the following...
1. CD burning software (iTunes, Toast, CD Creator, etc.)
2. Indicate whether the CD was burned as an MP3 CD or Data CD
3. Whether ID3 info was stripped from the MP3s
Personally, I have no problem using iTunes, WMP, Toast 7 and CD Creator
I got my MP3 CDs to play burned as Data CD and MP3 CD
All my MP3s had full ID3 tags auto created when I ripped the CDs
No luck what so ever getting the track names to display!
