2004 Civic Si. FWD for the Win!
I've got a Scan Gauge II, www.scangauge.com , and love it. Will eventually install it in the ashtray and use as a secondary gauge set. Can show many engine/car functions when not being used to read/clear codes.
Someone else did have some trouble with getting secondary information to work, but been fine for me.
Though if you want just a scanner, any of the cheapos work just as well.
