Leather inserts in my 05 C230 SS question?
I have around 24,000 miles on my car after driving it for 2 years now and I noticed yesterday that the front driver seat has what looks like some permanent wrinkles....
Now keep in mind that I did not get the upgraded leather package so what I have is the standard leather inserts package. The wrinkles are on the bottom part where you sit, not where your back touches. Does anybody have any advice on what to do to get those wrinkles out...? Is there any type of cleaner or conditioner I can apply to help remove the wrinkles?
By the way I just wanted to take this chance to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season!

You can try leather conditioner to prevent further cracking of the leather. The leather is probably drying out. I would clean in first with leather cleaner and then condition it. Zymol brand works good.
An anto upolstery shop can probably do better. They have been known to renew leather... How? I'm not sure.

The treatment I use, for my leather interior, is Leatherique Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil, as discussed in this post.
The application and results are acceptable and I would recommend these products.

Good feedback, thanks!
Isn't the part where you butt touches vinyl with the standard leather inserts package or am I wrong....(driver seat)
I am not sure myself and this is why I am uncertain about using a leather cleaner or conditioner if the actual problem is coming from vinyl.

I have the exact same problem with my '05 SS, I didn't get the upgraded leather package either. I have one good size wrinkle across the seat (where my butt is), I use leather conditioner/cleaner fairly often but it doesn't seem as if it has changed the wrinkle, although it hasn't gotten any larger.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one in this position!

I have the same problem on the passenger side.
The root cause is the lowered position of the car and large or holder people. They usually sit on the side first and then slide with all the weight to the middle of the sit, causing wrinkles compressed by their weight, and they keep it wrinkled during the all trip.

I never pass wind in my car! How dare you! LOL...
I bought a 3M vinyl + leather cleaner / conditioner....I am going to try it and if it doesn't work off to the dealer I go. IMO after 24,000 miles of driving the inserts shouldn't look worn down...at least I see that this is a somewhat common problem. I will let you guys know how the 3M product works later today or tomorrow. Happy Holidays!

Any more details on the dealer taking care of this under warranty? Is there a bulletin out for this or do you have the receipt for it? My car needs to go in for Service A and if I can have it replaced for free - I'll do it.
Thanks in advance!
