'05 Upgrade for COUPE
I just called Beck Imports here in Charlotte (Local MB dealer). One of the parts guys quoted me from a VIN number I picked up off an 05 Coupe that I liked, for the headlights, taillights, and the 05 grille.
05 Headlight- (left unit only!) $455.70 Part Number 2038202161
05 Taillight- (left unit only!) $196.35 Part Number 2038202564
05 Grille- Non Sport package; Part Number 20388010837246 Forgot the price, but it's like $170 something
05 Grille- With Sports Package; Part number 20388012839744 around $190 something.
The man I was talking to asked another guy named Wayne, if the 05 headlights and taillights would fit an 02 and he said NO, the wiring has been completely changed over the past 4 years. And recommended me not to do it, but he'd let me order all the parts I wanted...is this true? He said hes worked there for 20 years, sounds like he knows what he's talking about, but I KNOW ppl have done it. What needs to be done to the wiring so it will work?
Also, anyone know if there is a different fitment on the Sport Package grille and NON Sports Package grille? He said he wasn't sure, but they DO look the same.

I have Bix Lights, and the crossdrilled "evolution" grille on my 2002.
BTW, you can get the newer headlights, with halogens, not BIX, for half what this guy is quoting you. Say no. Hold out for Bix for what he wants. And YES, its the same farking wiring.

just so you know, MB employers don't know crap about MB parts, i've went over 3 dealership and look for the 05 clear lens foglight, and all told me it won't fit, and i have to lecture each of them to tell them "trust me it fits".
