7 Speed and 5 Speed Auto ?
we are using 5 speed auto gearbox in W203 (mine as coupe)
after released 7 speed auto in new S , in our W203 after 2006 model year began C230 7 speed auto as option .
my question is ?
is there anyone who used both (5 and 7) auto gearbox ?
Differences are more ? you feel it when you drive?

i drove a 2006 c230 with 7 speed auto last week. it was nice, if you're 50 years old and drive SLOW. it was always in the wrong gear at the wrong time, always. when you want to go fast it takes about 3 seconds to downshift and pick up any useful speed.
i drove the c280 4matic before that, I think that auto is 5 speed right? that car was very quick even with 4matic. i really liked that c280 better than the c320, c230 and c240. haven't driven a c350 yet.

I have 5 speed auto and it seems slow enough to mme as it is. Once ot a loaner with 6 speed auto. That felt like ECU takes forever to calculate the speed and shift to the lower gear. My conclusion was no more automatics
