Pirelli's are highly over rated and over priced. i dont like them at all and they are wack in the rain. my next set will not be Pirellis for sure. i am no expert on tires but i personally dont like the pirellis that i am rolling with right now.

I burned through a set of Pirelli P6s in 23,000 miles, so I don't see them as a good choice for tire wear. (Not the best on handling either... the TC light can on quite a bit in iffy road conditions -- rain, sleet, etc)
I also bought Dunlop SP Sport (A2) as the replacement. The tires are a bit noisier than the Pirellis, but have excellent handling over the Pirellis (no TC light, ever), and after 20,000 miles have half tread remaining.
Dunlop is a Goodyear subsidiary, BTW.
My wife's Kuhmos are wonderful on her SUV. I'm thinking I will try them on the C320 when needed.

I went the cheap way- General Exclaim UHP
After two days I can say that they are better than the OEM Continentals. Quieter and better handling and just the half of the price
