Engine Swap
is it possible or has anyone out there converted their C240 into a C32, if it's possible mayn i want to know how much and where it was done, since i have to buy a new trans i figure might as well go big. I know kleeman has a kit to supercharge the 240 but i'd prefer origional mbz

but i'm guessing you'll have to "find" urself a amg motor first.
why dont u go bigger and convert it to a c55. change the bonnet and nose.

Why do you think you need a new trans? You do need a new engine though and even a used one won't be cheap. If you can find a wrecked one and swap all the needed parts it should work. Don't forget ECU, exhaust, suspension, brakes, wiring harness, rear end.

Is the C240 2.6 boosted by MB in another application?
That sounds down right interesting after reading their site.

if you have money, anything is possible
but you have to ask urself a question if it's worth it.
might as well sell ur 240 and buy a c32, might be cheaper that way

sure, but that's $15,000 !
is that what he's looking for to put into his C240 ???
You're better off selling it, and buying an used C32 for ~ $30-$35 k

If your lucky, $10,000-$12,000 and 1 week of labor, again if the mechanic dedicates that whole week on your car. Sell your car, use that money and go with Saprissa's idea.

I've been looking into doing the same, becaues of taxes here any cars over 2.0L are charged 135% tax. So for me to spend 10-15K USD isn't a bad option.
Anyone have more info on what would be changed? I have C180 with a 2.0 engine 2002.

It's a lot of work, a lot of time and a lot of money! Unless there is a beyond capable shop up there that can do the actual swap, not to mention get the ecu to work properly, it's a really difficult task.
