Audio 10 Install and manual update

In case there aren't enough pix... also, I have scanned some sample pix of the manual and forwarded one to Vadim. We should have a full Audio 10 manual online in about a week or two!

You guys, somehow, talked me into it. My A-10 will be here in about 10 days. Got it for $245 shipped. Thanks for all the info.

Has anyone with Bose switched to the A-10? Will it even work? If not, there will be one for sale in the US! Edit: oops, just read the C5 part of your sig...:o

Another Audio 10 with Bose installed last weekend. Everything worked perfect and the installation is really easy (thanks to Session). I compiled the pictures and the text into a Word document. If someone wants it let me know.
Mine arrived in 7 days.

Where did you get the unit from, EBAY? Are the FM stations working OK? How about AM? Do you have the part number for the Audio 10 unit?
Thanks

thanks amiras for the word docu as well...

THe price for audio 10 unit is about right ($250) but how are you guys doing the transaction of money? Most that I have contacted tells me to send cash (EURO) in an envelope to Germany. I dont know about that. I have a PayPal merchant acct. and also can do wire transfer, etc. Any suggestions or ideas?

*also, if i'm getting the tape deck w/ BOSE for now can I do ghetto setup of the tape adapter CD player plug-in to the MB tape deck or will that ruin the deck? Will it even work? Just need temp solution till I get my Audio 10. Thanks all.

I started to install mine yesterday. I had no problems until I got to the top clips. I need to use bi-focals to do this type of work. I couldn't position my head to where I could see the clips and get the screwdriver to them. I was afraid I would break something if I just stuck the screwdriver in there and started prying on things, so I put torx screws back in and fastened the bottom clips. The local semi-high end car audio store will put it in for $55.

I have been thinking of having them install an XM satellite radio at the same time, but I think I would rather get sway bars.

Yes, you can use the nasty (but "at least something") adaptor. I saw it on a friend's coupe and works. It's a little tricky to close the cassete deck ... so be carefull. Regarding the payment method I used PayPal. If they don't want to use that you can go with www.c2it.com and they'll send a check or you can deposit the money on the seller bank account. Of course you'll need the address in Germany or the bank account. The fee is $15 dollars and it seems to work pretty good (according to others on this forum). Hope this helps !!
PS: I was writing an email to you but my Hotmail decided to kick me off so I lost it.

Re: thanks amiras for the word docu as well...

I got mine from this seller (he seems to be selling another):http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1769552926

I did the "buy it now" and used "c2it" to wire the money. It was VERY easy. This guy emailed me all the info I needed to cut-n-paste into the c2it transfer page once I created my account. My credit card company called me that day to comfirm that I authorized the transfer. It cost $10 to wire the money and $35 for shipping from Germany. It took about 4 days for the transfer to go through.
