Climate control knobs need replacing: have you done this?
2002 C240
The four knobs on my a/c heater center have started to look rough. I imagine from the sun and just wear and tear after 134,000 miles.
I want to replace them with new knobs so it doesn't like a$$ when you get in the car and look at them. The fan speed button is by far the worse one.
Has anyone done this? Can you offer any advice on how to dissasemble the center dash to replace these knobs? Any other information would be appreciated.

Just pull on the knobs, they come off with a little tug. I am sure you can buy new ones from the parts counter.
I tested it i.e. a gentle pull and they come off. No need to take apart the counsol
