Unfortunatly Not A Silver Star
Why are there two different engines in C230
Does anyone know why some C230's have a 2.5L V6 and others have the SUpercharged 4 cyl ?

I believe that it is based on the model year of the car. I think up to '06 it had the supercharged 4 and on '07 models it got the V6.

I meant to say that the 2.3L Kompressor was only available in the coupe and as a further note, and that the number of the car actually matched the displacement of the car.
the same can't be said about the later C230's, and C240, C280 in North America I am sure all the numbers are screwed up in the rest of the world

Worth mentioning that the best engine to own of the three is the M111, at least from a driving/performance standpoint. The 1.8 would be next, and the 2.5V6 is downright disappointing.
