when the benz first came out with the infra red, on the S class.. i thought i was pretty tricking in training my palm pilot to read and copy the IR... i could get the door to unlock only once.. then the IR code would change.. (damn those smart germans).. so i'm guessing it has a rolling code which needs to be programed by mercedes...
Somone got all undignified over 3 or 4 before...

But you should have cracked open a bic fireplace lighter... taken out the lectrode wire and shorted that on the little motherboard... more natural death.

A two button key. No panic button, just open and close buttons. Part number etched on key side says xxx x291.
Anybody seen that kind before?
The Canadian market C 230 K does not have a Panic button (which is great, I hate the things). This button reminds me of the little boy that cried "wolf"; for every genuine panic situation there are 1000 accidental actuations...

Better than grabing 2 wires, sticking them in a household outlet and then touching those wires down on the traces on the PCB.
