eh-hem
I got my new plates for my car today...and they certainly fit my mood with some of the recent posts from 'no pistons' et al....
Maybe it's the new semester and my increased work load, new students and lesson plans....or maybe it just time for me to take a break from all the latent idiocy that seems to increase on a daily basis.
Someone please e-mail me when the nonsense stops...until then, my plates read:
C YAAAA

I guess its a little like a very common license plate I see around here on base Dodge Caravans with unpainted bumpers and cloth seats:
"I'm not spoiled . . . just well taken care of"
I guess it may be true, but the car its bolted on isn't much of a reflection of the statement. It would be humorous on a Rolls, but doesn't really have much humor or impact on a Caravan.
So, MONEY, CASH, $$$, CPTLIST, etc. on a Hatchback doesn't make anyone a bad person (those are all things I firmly believe in and pursue). . . its just not very clever, fitting or humorous. You can't separate the plate from the car - the message on the plate and the car go hand in hand.

Only in some states. In others the plate goes with you.

Well not to toot my own horn but at age 22 I'm driving a $40K car(that I bought entirely on my own). True it may not be a Bentley, but for me there is only the opportunity for advancement. Perhaps, when I'm 40 I will have that Bentley, at least I would hope so otherwise something has gone drastically wrong.
Besides, I think the plates are supposed to represent the driver not just the car. I myself am a materialistic money hungry snob, so I think it would be fitting to have $$$$ on my license plate.
As far as not being clever, true it may not be the most complicated abbreviation ever used, but god damn there is a code out there for plates now-a-days. It should be simple to decipher, and my suggestions are very simple.
Perhaps someone could put this one to use:
WHT TRSH

Kind of like the classic plate I used to see driving around Newport Beach in the '80, on an SL: NB CHEVY.
Talk about "funny because its true"!
That plate was a local legend for years.

Yeah, money is where it is at. You are definitely wise.
Come here a little closer so I can pull a white glove off of a hand and slap you square in the mouth with it.
