Stereo Antenna Static/Bad Reception
My 02-C240 Car Sterreo just out of the blue started giving me bad reception similar as if I didn't have a Radio Antenna.
So weird. Nothing is broken, nothing has been replaced !!!
It plays CDs perfectly, the issue is intermintently too because sometime it sounds a little better, but most of the times I can't listen to Radio at all.
Has this happen to anyone?

do you have COMMAND? I have experienced this before, a simple system reset resolves it. mute + 1 + 3 at the same time until the menu appears.. this is if you have COMMAND though. I'm not sure what the fix is if you dont..

I have this problem too. I noticed it the winter I bought my car, and it went away that summer. It came back the following winter, and has been with me to stay. I assume there is a problem with the antenna in the rear window. My rear defroster has never worked either. My rear window is tinted, but I've had good reception at some point, and the keyfob remote never has troubles, so I don't think the problem is related to the installation of the tint.
Maybe someday soon I'll actually have it looked at/fixed. I'm not looking forward to explaining to MB that the problem is not my aftermarket headunit though.
