New Car, pics soon! Repair manual
Hi All, I'm a new member going to pick up my C240 tomorow afternoon. Its my wifes actually, wedding present. Anyway I like to work on my cars, basicaly simple maintene becuase I don't like dealerships mechanincs or any mechanincs for that matter even thought there are good ones. I just don't trust anyone but myself to maintain my cars.
I AM looking for THE REPAIR MANUALS for the C240 and can not find one any where? Any one got a suggection?
BTW I got a C240 with 2003
Automatic Transmission

Repair Manual
Unlike most manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz does not appear to offer factory service manuals for its cars until they've been in production for about 5 years. That's what I've been advised. In the USA this is less of a problem due to the 4 year free maintenance......but in Canada it can be an issue as the services are all on our dime.

Congrats on the new car and marriage!
I'm like you - I like working on the cars, don't trust mechanics to do a good job (most don't seem to care, and most seem to have very poor skills these days) and would love to have a manual to read. Even though I probably wouldn't do much during the warranty period, I'd read the service manual cover to cover a few time just for fun (and prep for post-warranty) if I could get one.
I've looked, but could not find any kind of service manual.
Hopefully, in a few years, Bentley publishing will come out with a service manual. I have Bentley's for my BMWs and Porsche, and their manual rock!
